My 2021 Reflection

It's been a while since my last founder post so I wanted to share some quick thoughts on 2021. First, if you don't already - it's SO important to carve out time to reflect back on your goals, wins, failures and learnings, since life is all about constant improvement and being #HungryForGr8ness, right? The end of the year is the perfect opportunity to carve that time out for yourself, even if just for 10 minutes. Here we go:

Biggest win: 2021 started with a bang with our new Peanut Butter launch in partnership with Girl Up x Nigel Barker, where I mentored five teen girls across the globe #bts on what it takes to bring a new flavor to life — from concept to launch. The flavor has become one of our top sellers, and it also marks our first collaboration with a charity x celebrity. Thank you all for your support, and I’m so happy you all love our new flav!

Biggest failure: 2021 was very much a deja-vu with 2020. There was the promise of offices returning back to work (and thus, a revival of office sales for the business), but then things quickly retracted due to the COVID Delta variant, and now hail Omicron, lol.

Learnings: In life and in business, I've learned to "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst". Usually dissatisfaction or unhappiness occurs when expectations and results aren't aligned, but as an entrepreneur, I still set stretch goals but always have plans B, C and D if plan A doesn't go right (which often is the case). This allows me to be flexible, creative and have an overall open mindset, since failures are only failures if you don't learn from them.

As we turn the page on 2021, I'm looking forward to what the new year holds and excited to share some big news in a couple months ;). Hope you all stay #HungryForGr8ness and wishing everyone health and happiness in 2022!
