When it comes to achieving gr8ness, we know our gr8nola community is constantly on-the-go and doesn’t necessarily have time to spend hours creating delicious and nutritious food. Luckily, you only need a few minutes—not a few hours—to make snacks that fuel you throughout the day. We rounded up seven amazing treats that we turn to for quick energy, and unsurprisingly, a few incorporate our favorite anytime snack. You guessed it: gr8nola!
Another plus? All of these snacks look gr8, too. Break out the 'gram and get ready to add those filters!
1. Vanilla Chia Granola Bites from Nicole Modic
We love these energy balls for so many reasons, not least of which is that they use our Original gr8nola. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat before a workout or before starting your day, you can whip up a healthy snack in mere minutes.
2. Glowing Strawberry Smoothie Bowls from Half Baked Harvest
Love us an Instagram-worthy smoothie bowl! This one from Tieghan Lee on the Chriselle Factor takes only 10 minutes to make and contains strawberries, bananas, granola and chia seeds.
One of our favorite things about smoothie bowls is you can add virtually anything you want to them and they’re guaranteed to taste amazing. A couple of potential add-ons include nuts (almonds are an awesome option!), a drizzle of honey, any type of seed (pumpkin, flax, you name it) and your favorite nut butter.
3. Sweet Potato Toast from Milk & Honey Nutrition
If you’re a fan of sweet and savory snacks, look no further than this “toast,” complete with sweet potatoes, hummus, berries, and our OG gr8nola. It might sound like a weird combination, but trust us: The end result is incredible—and your Instagram pics will look awesome.
4. Granola Crust Breakfast Tarts from Bakerita
It’s time to take your yogurt-and-granola breakfast to the next level. Rachel from Bakerita created a simple granola crust topped with Greek yogurt and berries, which is the perfect way to get that crumbly granola taste in every single bite.
5. Homemade Sweet Potato Chips from Stephanie Lynn
It doesn’t get much easier than this. For the quickest of healthy snacks, slice sweet potatoes and microwave them on parchment paper for four or five minutes. Want to change up the flavor? Add a little sea salt and voilà! And if you want to mix things up, add different seasonings. Swap that salt for cinnamon or sugar and you’ve got an entirely different treat.
6. #NoBake gr8nola Bars from Valerie Fidan
Valerie Fidan took our Original gr8nola to the next level with this recipe by combining it with pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp hearts and more to create an incredibly nutritious on-the-go snack you can make in minutes. We feel more energized just reading this recipe!
7. Frozen Yogurt-Covered Blueberries from Family Fresh Meals
Looking for a cool treat as the temperatures heat up? This two-ingredient recipe is the way to go: Simply dip blueberries into Greek yogurt (or any non-dairy yogurt of your choice) and then freeze them for an hour. It’s like a cool little berry explosion right when you need it.
Finding foods that are easy to make versus foods that look like something straight out of a food Instagram definitely aren’t mutually exclusive. And you know what? They can all taste gr8.
